Brig O’ Doon, Ayr - Natalie & Tom

My first wedding of the year & what a wedding it was! 🎉

Natalie & Tom reached out almost 2 years ago, right at the start of their wedding journey, so it was lovely to catch up around 6 months before the Wedding itself, for their Engagement session to hear how it had all progressed. It was clear from chatting with them how much they valued the time with their loved ones, pulling together a truly incredible day!

I captured the day alongside my 2nd Photographer Andy, and Olive & Thistle.

I’m always delighted to return to Brig O’ Doon, it really is a truly stunning venue. The sprawling gardens and beautiful cobbled bridge, immortalised by Robert Burns poem “Tam O’ Shanter”, create a perfect setting for capturing a couple’s session.

Hair & Make-up were provided by Sarah of Goodwins Boutique & Martin Aitkin, respectively.

Natalie & her family chose to get ready at the hotel’s self-catered Kirkgate House, less than a minute’s walk from the Brig O’ Doon Hotel itself (even in the highest of heels!).

The wedding party enjoyed a relaxed morning of hair, make-up & plenty of laughs - evidence available below…

Tom and his wedding party arrived early, having stayed locally too, and were ready to greet guests upon their arrival at the hotel. They didn’t get a trampoline.

Natalie & Tom’s ceremony was conducted by Ian Bonner-Evans from Spiritual Ceremonies, who had crafted a truly personal experience for our lovely couple.

Post ceremony, we descended the spiral stairs into the garden, enjoying a surprisingly warm (and very sunny) early April afternoon.

With plenty of canapes & champagne to keep their guests occupied, Natalie & Tom had their family photos and couples session. Then it was back into the party, catching up with their friends & family.

With speeches before the wedding breakfast, it allowed some time to slip out after dessert to capture some sunset couples shots. This was timed impeccably, finishing up just as Baja Beats, pictured above, started to play.

Then it was onto cake-cutting, first dance, with the music from The White Doves.

They kept the dance floor busy all night!

With a huge thanks to Natalie & Tom for trusting me to capture their day, and of course, a shout out to my fellow wedding suppliers:
